On behalf of NatWest, we are looking for a Journey Developer for an initial 6 month contract (extension potential 12-18 months). Based in London or Edinburgh.

Purpose of the role

We are seeking an experienced Journey Developer to support a major customer and colleague transformation programme within NatWest. Working as part of a large-scale integration initiative, you will help shape and deliver customer-focused change, driving improvements across digital journeys, customer activation processes and operational delivery. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with cross-functional teams, product stakeholders and senior business leaders to ensure successful delivery of complex change programmes.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support the delivery of customer and colleague journey improvements across large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Manage and prioritise backlogs, roadmaps and delivery plans to ensure key milestones are achieved.
  • Work closely with product, technology, operations and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused change.
  • Drive journey development activities from discovery through to implementation.
  • Support governance activities, ensuring risks, dependencies and issues are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to coordinate change initiatives and technology releases.
  • Contribute to customer activation and onboarding journey enhancements for both existing and new customers.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across business, risk, finance and operational functions, providing regular updates and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experiences, processes and operational efficiency.
  • Support the successful delivery of integration and transformation initiatives within a fast-paced programme environment.

The Skills you'll need

  • Significant experience delivering large-scale change and transformation programmes.
  • Strong background in customer journey development, customer experience improvement or product-focused change delivery.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to manage backlogs, roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior business leaders.
  • Experience operating within large, complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge of governance processes, programme controls and change delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery execution.
  • Experience within financial services, banking or regulated environments would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving programmes with multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong focus on customer outcomes, continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
