Join us as a Network Infrastructure EngineerYou’ll collaborate in building the best enterprise network solutions and engineer infrastructure technology to comply with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements with observability and guardrails built inYou’ll also use automation to provide testing and a route to live for the product, identifying ways to use new and existing technology tools to enhance performance and remove inefficienciesThis is a chance to work with colleagues across the bank to share engineering best practices, allowing you to provide thought leadership while developing solutionsWhat you'll doAs a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll contribute to and manage the selection, creation and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets and architecture outcomes, along with developing products using modern engineering practices and tools.We’ll look to you to collaborate with Product Owners to develop product roadmaps and manage the lifecycle of the team's products and support engineered products to respond to customer feedback, new feature requests, resolve production issues and help customers consume our products.You’ll also:Work within a team to design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure productsLead and drive standards for our Cisco and Arista networkDevelop technical skills through continuous learning and developmentContribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutionsBuild an awareness of design thinking tools and techniques with users in order to improve your productProvide operational support for pattern or product related issuesWork with key vendors in the delivery of the infrastructure services and technology for the productThe skills you'll needWe’re looking for someone with hands-on experience managing large enterprise network environments with 10,000+ devices. We’ll expect you to have proven design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade networks using Cisco and Arista platforms with experience including, Arista Fabric with VxLAN on-prem deployment, traditional Cisco enterprise deployment and extensive knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols to build scalable and resilient networks such as STP, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN. You'll also need experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions, including Dashboard management, MX deployment and administration, site-to-site VPNs, security policies, MS switching, and MR wireless design and troubleshooting.In addition, you’ll have:Experience working in financial services environment on trader voice infrastructureThe ability to work in high pressure environments, specifically responding to and leading on business impacting incidentsStrong experience with multicast technologies and their interoperation across Cisco and Arista VxLAN platformsExperience working in an agile manner on both operations and projects along with the ability to work on your own and drive your own workstack as part of a larger teamStrong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders Large scale WAN with traffic engineering policiesHours35Job Posting Closing Date:13/08/2026Ways of Working:Remote FirstSummaryLocation: London; EdinburghType: Full time
