This is an exciting opportunity to join NW Boxed to lead our fast-scaling partnerships function., You will manage a small team across key procurement disciplines, drive partnership efficiencies, and play a critical role in supporting client / supplier contracting and commercial negotiations. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in agile environments and understands the nuances of regulatory compliance and commercial value creation

What you'll do
  • Lead and develop a small, multi-disciplinary procurement team within a fast-scaling, regulated fintech environment
  • Define and execute strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and business growth objectives
  • Support the Head of Commercial Partnerships on complex client contracting and the development of scalable contract frameworks
  • Develop and optimise procurement processes, templates, playbooks, and frameworks to enhance agility and operational efficiency
  • Lead complex supplier negotiations focused on driving commercial value, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions and deliver efficiencies
  • effectively Manage supplier performance to proactively resolve issues and drive long-term commercial outcomes
  • Own procurement budgeting and forecasting; ensure supplier spend is managed in line with financial targets
The skills you'll need
  • Procurement Leadership: Very experienced in procurement with proven team leadership in regulated or fintech sectors (CIPS qualification preferred)
  • Commercial & Regulatory Expertise: Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of contract law and regulatory impact
  • Contract Negotiation: Expert negotiator with experience managing difficult stakeholders, clients and high-stakes contracts
  • Operational Efficiency & Data Insight: Skilled in driving operational efficiencies through data and process improvement
  • Agile & Cross-Functional Working: Comfortable in agile, fast-paced environments with cross-functional collaboration and managing multiple priorities 
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage and influence C-suite stakeholders across internal functions and external partners to drive alignment and resolve complex challenges

It would be very advantageous if you have the following experience
  • Strong understanding of the Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) landscape, including point-of-sale (PoS) integrations and ecosystems
  • Experience engaging with large retail clients at the C-suite level, particularly in high-value commercial negotiation
  • Professional purchasing qualification (e.g. CIPS or equivalent) preferred
