Job summaryNorthamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional senior data and business intelligence leader to join our Business Intelligence Service as Head of Health Intelligence Architecture & Data Platforms.This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the Trust's health intelligence technology landscape. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Business Intelligence Service, you will lead the strategic development, governance and optimisation of our data platforms, architecture and reporting environment, helping to drive better decision-making and improved outcomes across the organisation.You will own and evolve the Trust's BI technical estate, including SQL Server, data warehousing, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SSRS/SSAS, data engineering and integration services. Acting as the Trust's principal technical advisor for health intelligence, you will translate strategic ambitions into practical, scalable and sustainable technical solutions.This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader who can combine deep technical expertise with strong people leadership, stakeholder engagement and a passion for using data to improve healthcare delivery.Main duties of the jobLead the strategic design and development of the Trust's BI and data architecture.Drive the adoption and optimisation of Microsoft Fabric and cloud-based analytics capabilities.Oversee SQL Server, data warehouse, reporting and integration platforms.Develop scalable data models, engineering pipelines and reporting solutions.Provide expert technical advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders.Lead and develop a high-performing team of BI professionals.Establish technical standards, governance and assurance processes- including ownership of a robust and logical Organisational Reporting Structure for the Trust. Support innovation through automation, AI-enabled capabilities and modern analytics tools.Ensure robust information governance, security, resilience and business continuity across the data estate.Deliver a technical roadmap that balances operational priorities with long-term transformation.About usNHFT is an NHS Community and Mental Health Foundation Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in hospital settings and in the community.
