The platform replaces manual, email driven legal processes with a structured system that enables funds lawyers, GPs and LPs to execute complex transactions more efficiently. Navys is focused on real legal workflows, not generic AI tools or document summarisation, and is designed to support production grade, enterprise use cases.

Role Summary
Navys is seeking an ambitious Full Stack Engineer to join the team on a full time basis. This is a hands on engineering role focused on building and shipping core platform functionality across the full stack.
You will play a foundational role in building core platform components, scaling infrastructure, and collaborating closely with engineering, product and legal teams to bring a category defining product to life.
This is not a narrow or isolated engineering role. It requires ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to take responsibility for features from early design through to production.
Responsibilities
Product Delivery and Execution
- Design, build and ship full stack features from backend services and APIs in Python through to modern, performant user interfaces in TypeScript using React
- Translate complex legal and operational requirements into clear, intuitive product functionality
- Take ownership of features from concept through to production release
Platform and Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Azure
- Ensure the full stack from database to frontend is secure, maintainable and scalable
- Contribute to the reliability and performance of the platform as usage grows
Engineering Contribution and Collaboration
- Influence technical architecture decisions and help define engineering best practices as the team grows
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering and Product to align technical execution with product priorities
- Collaborate effectively across engineering, product and legal domain experts
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- Fluent in Python and strong in TypeScript, with both used in production systems
- Solid experience building scalable APIs and backend services
- Experience building modern single page applications
- Familiarity with at least one major frontend framework, with React preferred and Vue acceptable
- Deep understanding of at least one major cloud platform, with Azure preferred and AWS acceptable
- Knowledge of relational databases and data modelling
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, early stage start up environment
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Bicep
- Familiarity with Azure services including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault and Blob Storage
- Exposure to AI or LLM based tooling such as OpenAI, Azure AI or LangChain
- Experience in legal tech, fintech or another highly regulated domain
