Were looking for Platform Engineers who thrive at the intersection of DevOps, cloud architecture, and secure infrastructure delivery. Youll join a high-performing team building cloud-native environments that underpin some of the UKs most complex technology programmes.

The Role

Youll be hands-on in designing, building, and optimising modern Kubernetes-based platforms that enable large-scale systems integration and automation. This will include containerising workloads, implementing robust CI/CD processes, and shaping secure environments within regulated, mission-focused settings. Working alongside architects, security engineers, and developers, youll play a key part in modernising legacy systems, introducing automation, and helping clients realise the full potential of cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and manage containerised environments using Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE) and associated tooling (Helm, ArgoCD, Istio)

Build and optimise cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation frameworks

Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline release and deployment workflows (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Collaborate across engineering, data, and security teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and compliance

Support research-driven and mission-critical initiatives that enhance operational resilience and agility

Your Experience

5+ years experience in DevOps, Platform, or Site Reliability Engineering

Strong Kubernetes expertise and proven experience managing production-grade clusters

Proficiency across at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Understanding of networking, identity management, and secure cloud operations

Familiarity with Agile delivery and working within multi-disciplinary, secure environments

Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC or DV)
