A globally recognised financial institution is hiring a Core Networking Specialist to join its high-performance infrastructure team. This firm plays a critical role in global markets, offering integrated investment services to institutional clients and managing trillions in assets. Known for its pioneering work in ETFs and commitment to data-driven innovation, it operates across 28+ countries and places strong emphasis on operational excellence and collaboration.
You’ll design and optimise network infrastructure supporting real-time trading, analytics, and global operations. This role covers enterprise networking across data centres, campuses, and cloud environments - balancing performance, scale, and resilience in demanding financial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-availability network solutions (LAN, WAN, Campus, Cloud).
 - Translate requirements into robust, well-documented architectures.
 - Lead network delivery projects; coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
 - Provide L3 escalation and proactively improve network performance.
 - Drive automation and evaluate emerging technologies for impact and efficiency.
 
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years’ network engineering experience in enterprise or financial environments.
 - Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VLAN/VxLAN, MLAG, STP.
 - Hands-on with Arista/Cisco; strong troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, netcat, etc.).
 - Familiar with network security, automation (Python, Ansible), and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana).
 - Excellent communicator with experience delivering in high-stakes, collaborative settings.
 - STEM degree and CCNP/CCIE preferred.
