Platform Architect

Contract Role: Platform Architect – Defence Cloud Programme

We are supporting a major new programme of work, delivered in collaboration with a global technology partner. This involves multiple £100m+ cloud transformation initiatives, and we are seeking experienced Platform Architects to join the programme team.

The Role

As a Platform Architect, you will design and deliver secure, scalable platform architectures in a highly sensitive environment. Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, you will translate requirements into practical designs, guide technical delivery, and ensure compliance with security standards.

Key Requirements

• Active DV clearance (essential).
• Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – architecture, design and integration.
• Strong knowledge of secure cloud and infrastructure design.
• Hands-on approach – able to engage with both high-level design and detailed delivery.
• Previous experience in Defence or other secure government settings.

Assignment Details

• Location: South West (4 days per week onsite).
• Contract: 6 months initially, with extensions expected.
• IR35: Inside IR35.
