Android Engineer | Technical Consultancy | Hybrid (Sheffield)

I’m partnering with a UK-based technical consultancy that designs and builds custom software platforms for clients across transport, infrastructure, and operations.

They develop everything in-house and are now looking for an Android Engineer to strengthen their core delivery team. It’s a hands-on role with genuine ownership , an opportunity join a small, experienced delivery team. You’ll have real ownership and contribute to software used in production from day one in a team where ideas are valued, shared, and acted upon where of benefit.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and maintain Android applications
• Integrate with a Python/Django backend via RESTful APIs
• Contribute to mobile architecture and Android best-practice standards
• Collaborate with backend engineers and stakeholders to deliver features end to end

Essential experience (must-haves)

• Kotlin and/or Java for Android development
• Android SDK and Android Studio
• MVVM or MVP architecture
• RESTful API integration, including Python/Django backends
