Mobile Engineer (React Native)

My client is a London-based fintech building secure mobile products that help people manage and protect their money in challenging economic environments. Their mission is to make modern financial tools accessible, trustworthy, and resilient—especially for customers who are underserved by traditional banking.

This is a full-time, onsite role in London (Shoreditch) .

As a React Native Mobile Engineer , you’ll lead the development of key mobile experiences end-to-end—from crafting high-quality, performant interfaces to integrating with backend APIs that power critical financial functionality. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to ship features that users rely on for sensitive, high-trust financial workflows.

Who You Are

  • Strong React Native engineer: You build polished, reliable mobile experiences and care about performance and UX details.
  • TypeScript-first: Confident shipping production apps using TypeScript and modern React patterns.
  • API & data fluent: Comfortable integrating with backend services and designing/consuming clean, efficient APIs.
  • Quality-driven: Experience with testing strategies for mobile (unit/integration/e2e), and a pragmatic approach to release stability.
  • Security-conscious: You understand secure coding, privacy principles, and the expectations of regulated or high-trust environments (fintech a plus).
  • Product-minded collaborator: You work well across disciplines and optimize for customer outcomes, not just code.
  • Curious and empathetic: Motivated by building technology that improves real people’s financial lives.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Node.js/NestJS services (or similar), authentication flows, and fintech integrations.
  • Familiarity with Postgres , event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka ), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS , Docker, CI/CD).
