Senior UX/UI Designer - Glasgow

Senior UX/UI Designer

Glasgow - Hybrid working

Up to £50,000 p/a.

We’re looking for an exceptional and hands-on Senior UX/UI Designer to join a fast-growing, high-profile account.

This is a key role within a global team, where you’ll combine expert-level product and UX thinking with outstanding visual design craft to help shape intuitive, engaging, and scalable digital experiences.

You’ll collaborate closely with clients, other designers, developers, content strategists, and product owners as you contribute across the full design process from discovery and ideation through to execution and delivery. The ideal designer will bring a strong understanding of user-centred design, digital ecosystems, brand design systems, and execution of well-crafted visual design, paired with the ability to balance user needs with business objectives.

Projects will be extremely varied from working on large new product projects, to components or some optimization, through to an email brief. It requires an experienced all-rounder but with very strong visual design skills and appreciation. It’s important that you are able build slick / compelling decks and present / talk through strategy, wireframes, prototypes and crucially the execution of the work. You’ll need to be very comfortable building strong client relationships throughout as well as internally and working with visual designers to polish off projects.

The role will suit someone who is proactive, collaborative and comfortable making connections around the business and building those relationships. Also flexible in terms of possessing attention to details and craft in your work, but not being too precious to take on and implement client feedback. You’ll need extremely strong skills in Figma, working with design systems and libraries, using variables, grouping things and working in an organised manner. Also some skills with the CC suite – such as Photoshop and After Effects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end UX/UI design process across multiple digital products from research, strategy, and concepting through to high-fidelity designs and developer handoff.
  • Create intuitive, accessible, and visually refined user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries in Figma, ensuring consistency across multiple products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and content teams to turn broad concepts into elegant, user-focused design solutions.
  • Conduct usability testing, analyse insights, and iterate on design solutions to continuously elevate the user experience.
  • Present your work confidently to stakeholders, taking feedback onboard and championing design excellence at every stage.
  • Craft and refine designs within established visual systems, enhancing them through thoughtful evolution and innovation.
  • Partner closely with the Digital Team Lead to deliver projects efficiently, maintaining creative quality within timelines and budgets.

Key Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior UX/UI or Product Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design solutions and exceptional visual craft.
  • Deep expertise in Figma, including design systems, tokens, and UI components.
  • A solid grasp of user research, wireframing, prototyping, and design documentation.
  • Experience designing for enterprise-scale web and mobile applications.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with the confidence to lead discussions and influence design direction.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to translate complex requirements into simple, effective user experiences.
