Billing Analyst
Telecoms billing experience? We want to hear from you.
We're working with an established technology and communications business looking for an experienced Billing Analyst to join them on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The key thing they're looking for is previous experience working with billing within the telecoms industry.
You might have worked for a telecoms provider, MSP, ISP, UC/CC provider, mobile business, carrier or another communications company. The specific billing platform you've used isn't particularly important – it's your understanding of telecoms billing, usage, rentals, supplier charges and reconciliation that matters.
What you'll be doing
- Producing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual customer invoices
- Billing recurring rentals and usage charges
- Reconciling supplier/carrier invoices against customer contracts and agreed rates
- Investigating billing discrepancies and resolving customer queries
- Reviewing month-on-month billing and revenue movements
- Working with Finance and Contracts teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition
- Analysing billing data and producing customer and management information
- Working with large data sets using Excel
What we're looking for
The most important thing is hands-on telecoms billing experience.
You'll also need:
- Good Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience reconciling invoices, charges, usage or supplier costs
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach
- Confidence dealing with both customers and internal stakeholders
- The ability to work accurately to monthly billing deadlines
Experience with platforms such as Elevate or Affinity would be useful, but isn't essential. Likewise, exposure to technologies or suppliers such as Avaya or Genesys is a bonus rather than a requirement.
