Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for designing, building and supporting secure, scalable cloud platforms across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys working across cloud infrastructure, automation, platform engineering and modernisation projects. You'll play a key role in improving cloud services, reducing reliance on legacy infrastructure and helping drive an automation-first approach across the business.
You'll work closely with infrastructure, networking, security and delivery teams to build resilient, secure platforms that support business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement and support cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments
- Build secure, scalable and highly available platform solutions
- Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient delivery
- Support cloud migrations and infrastructure modernisation projects
- Work closely with networking, security and operational teams to maintain service reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues
- Act as a technical escalation point for cloud and infrastructure-related incidents
- Drive continuous improvement through automation and operational efficiency
- Explore and implement AI-powered tools where appropriate to improve monitoring, support and service delivery
- Azure | AWS | Terraform | Infrastructure as Code | Hybrid Cloud
- Strong experience within Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps or Systems Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep or CloudFormation
- Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash or similar)
- Good understanding of cloud security, identity management and governance
- Experience supporting cloud migrations and infrastructure transformation projects
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Azure and/or AWS certifications
- Terraform certification
- Experience working within hybrid cloud environments
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Exposure to AI, LLMs and automation technologies within infrastructure operations
