VoIP Sales Executive
£30,000 basic salary + OTE
Southampton – Office based
Purpose of the Role
The VoIP Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through a combination of new business conversion and existing customer development. The role is split between handling inbound sales enquiries from new prospects and proactively managing the existing customer base to identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities across VoIP, broadband, and media solutions.
Key Responsibilities
New Business (Inbound Sales)
- Handle and convert inbound sales enquiries from new prospects, providing tailored quotes and proposals for VoIP, broadband, and media solutions.
- Qualify leads effectively, understand prospect requirements, and guide them through to closed sale.
- Ensure a smooth handover to provisioning and technical teams for onboarding and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all new business activity, pipeline, and forecasts within the CRM system.
Existing Customer Management
- Manage inbound requests from existing customers relating to VoIP and broadband services, feature changes, upgrades, and add-ons.
- Quote, process, and fulfil small to mid-sized service upgrades and contract variations.
- Liaise closely with provisioning, technical, and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of sold solutions.
- Raise chargeable work requests where applicable and ensure accurate updates across CRM and billing systems.
Account Development (Upsell & Cross-Sell)
- Proactively manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell VoIP, broadband, and media services.
- Run targeted outbound sales campaigns focused on VoIP and broadband enhancements and renewals.
- Engage warm and semi-warm leads within the customer base to uncover new commercial opportunities.
- Gather and maintain detailed account intelligence including contract terms, renewal dates, network providers, current solutions, and customer pain points.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a key link between Sales, Provisioning, and Technical teams to ensure solutions sold are delivered as agreed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date opportunity tracking, notes, and forecasts within the CRM system.
- Provide feedback to management on customer trends, objections, and campaign performance to support continuous improvement.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven B2B sales experience within telecoms, with strong knowledge of VoIP solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage customer relationships.
- Solid CRM experience with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify and develop revenue opportunities.
- Proactive, target-driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced sales environment.
