Software Engineer – Cloud & AI Platforms

Hybrid (UK) | Wimbledon office | SC clearance required

Our customer is looking for a mid-level software engineer to join a small, high-impact team modernising our platform and building the next generation of AI-driven tools.

This is a hands-on role with architectural influence, combining legacy system modernisation with greenfield AWS-native development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead containerisation and migration of legacy platforms to an AWS/Hybrid architecture
• Design and build AWS-native systems, including AI features using AWS Bedrock
• Shape and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation
• Provide input into cloud strategy, deployment standards, and best practices
• Work across a mixed tech stack (Perl, Python, Go, TypeScript/JavaScript)

What we’re looking for

• Experience with AWS and cloud architecture
• Practical containerisation experience
• Hands-on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
• Interest in AI platforms / Bedrock (experience a plus)
• Comfortable influencing technical direction in a collaborative team
