Network Engineer Cisco Arista VxLAN

Salary: £104,000 - 117,000 per year

• We require in-depth Arista experience and strong VXLAN EVPN skills in a data center network environment.
• We need experience as a Network Engineer in datacenter environments.
• We require strong expertise with both Cisco and Arista technologies.
• We need experience working in multi-vendor environments spanning Cisco and Arista solutions.
• We require knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols, including VLANs, STP, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN.
• We need the ability to work on site as required for migrations.
• We require availability for occasional weekend work during migrations.

• We will design and implement robust, scalable datacentre network architectures using Cisco and Arista solutions.
• We will migrate legacy Cisco network technology to Arista network technology.
• We will perform day-to-day network administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in datacentre environments.
• We will deliver network migration work for a global bank.
• We will support migration activities on site as required, including occasional weekend work.

We are hiring for a 6-month contract as a Data Center Network Engineer, working on a large migration project for an IT organisation and delivering work for a global bank. This is a hybrid role with 1-3 days on site each week in London, Surrey, or Cheshire, whichever is nearer. The contract starts as soon as possible, with an umbrella payroll solution and an inside IR35 determination. We work with Cisco and Arista technologies in a complex data center environment, and the role is focused on modernising legacy network infrastructure.
