We're hiring: HR Systems, Reporting & Data Manager

Location: New City College (primarily onsite across group campuses East London/South West Essex)

Salary: Circa £60,000

New City College is excited to introduce a new and pivotal role within our HR team — one that sits at the centre of our digital transformation and strategic workforce planning. As HR Systems, Reporting & Data Manager, you will lead the development of our HR platforms and reporting tools, working closely with multiple internal departments. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic influence. The role carries significant focus from the Senior Management Team and offers a real opportunity to grow within the organisation.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the configuration, maintenance, and development of our HR systems — with a focus on iTrent
• Designing and delivering impactful reports using Business Objects and building dashboards in Power BI
• Managing system upgrades, data integrity, and user access across the group
• Supporting HR and payroll teams with training, documentation, and troubleshooting
• Taking ownership of reporting and systems development, with the autonomy to shape tools and processes that directly support strategic decision-making across the organisation

What we’re looking for:

• Solid experience using Business Objects and Power BI — these tools are central to the role
• Strong working knowledge of HR systems, particularly iTrent, including configuration, reporting, and module development
• A proactive approach to system optimisation and project delivery • Advanced IT skills, especially in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite

Desirable:

• Background in education, public sector, or similar environments
• Experience with systems such as Prosolution, MyNCC, and SharePoint
