Computing Lecturer (Part time - 0.5)

Salary: £17,067 – £22,238 per annum (£34,134 - £44,475 FTE)
Contract: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Tuesday 9am–5pm, Wednesday 9am–5pm and Thursday 9am–12pm

Join our Computing team as a Computing Lecturer, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of Computing, IT and Digital programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to share your industry knowledge and help students develop the practical and technical skills they need to progress.

What you'll do

• Plan and deliver engaging Computing and Digital lessons.
• Teach across a range of Computing programmes and levels.
• Support students to develop their technical and practical skills.
• Assess and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Develop engaging learning resources and digital learning experiences.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate student records and work effectively with colleagues.
• Keep your subject knowledge and professional skills up to date.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Computing or a related subject, or equivalent industry-specific qualifications.
• A Level 5 teaching qualification or equivalent, or a commitment to work towards one.
• GCSE English and Maths at grades A–C / 9–4, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and experience within Computing and Digital.
• The ability to teach in at least two areas of Computing, with specialist knowledge in areas such as programming, networking, cyber security, cloud computing or data analysis.
• Excellent digital skills and confidence using technology to enhance learning.
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
• A professional, flexible and motivational approach to teaching.
• A commitment to professional development, safeguarding and equality.
