This role is a part time position, working 22.5 hours per week.

What you’ll do:
  • Act as the main point of contact for all data protection enquiries across the College

  • Oversee data subject access requests, ensuring full compliance with GDPR

  • Review and maintain data protection policies, privacy notices, and retention schedules

  • Support staff by offering advice, guidance, and training on data protection requirements

  • Conduct and support internal data protection audits

  • Track data protection incidents, reporting as required and supporting investigations

  • Maintain accurate records of all data processing activities across the College

  • Keep up-to-date with legislation and ICO guidance, updating processes where required

  • Support with responding to regulators (including the ICO) when necessary

What we’re looking for:
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to achieve within 24 months)

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential information

  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong eye for detail

  • Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work proactively

  • Strong communication skills, with confidence advising staff at all levels

  • Ability to draft procedures, guidance notes, and clear reports

A practical, problem-solving approach and willingness to learn
