Consulting Technical Test Architect / Principal QA & Testing Engineer

Your new role at NewDay

As we transform our QA team into a QE function to accelerate the flow of QUALITY products to our customers at NewDay, we are seeking strong hands-on technical quality engineers to help us achieve this.

The Quality Engineering teams will help improve testing methodologies & establish test templates, collaborating with product and engineering teams to enhance feature delivery, adopting Shift Left practices, and driving future growth.

First 0-12 months objectives

  • Lead the Quality Engineering organization to improve testing efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand objectives and automation needs.
  • Design automation test architecture, evaluate tools, and implement best practices.
  • Establish mechanisms for root cause analysis and define key performance metrics.
  • Research and implement advanced automation features, including self-healing and script-less automation.
  • Develop automation skills within the team to foster growth.

Qualifications and experience needed

  • Proven experience in software QA and test program development.
  • Extensive experience with automated testing tools/frameworks like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkin.
  • Proficiency with REST/RESTful web services, GitHub, CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins, Postman.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, VB, Python.
  • Understanding of cloud resources (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices like containerization and pipelines.
