Finance Systems Administrator

Our client, a leading charity, is seeking a Finance Systems Administrator to join their team on a one-year fixed term contract. This role has been created to support business-as-usual finance systems activity during a period of significant organisational change.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a Finance Systems Administration role and develop their technical knowledge through hands-on experience. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance Systems Analysts, providing predominantly 1st line support while gaining exposure to broader systems administration and project work.

The role offers a great hybrid working model (3 days in the office), excellent benefits, and the opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming team. The ideal candidate will be available to start at short notice.

The Role
  • The Finance Systems Administrator will support a range of finance systems including SAP, credit card platforms, BACS and associated peripheral applications.
Key Responsibilities Finance Systems Administration
  • User account management including access setup, amendments and password resets
  • Chart of Accounts and coding maintenance
  • System housekeeping and routine maintenance
  • Credit card administration
Operational Support
  • Review, action and refer helpdesk tickets
  • Provide 1st line support across Finance systems
  • Update user guides, manuals and quick reference materials
  • Schedule and support training sessions and drop-in clinics
  • Assist Finance Systems Analysts with troubleshooting, testing and 2nd line support issues
  • Support delivery of user training across platforms
Reporting, Data & Project Support
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports
  • Run standard data extracts and manage distribution
  • Support small systems projects including testing, configuration and development
  • Assist with documentation updates and process improvements

There will also be opportunities to gain exposure to systems configuration, testing, and more complex troubleshooting as experience develops.

Experience (Minimum 2 Years)
  • Financial administration or bookkeeping experience
  • Experience working within a support function resolving queries
  • Experience working collaboratively to meet shared objectives
Desirable
  • Finance systems or application administration experience
  • SAP experience
  • Basic understanding of UK accounting principles
  • Experience within a large or complex organisation
  • Charity or not-for-profit sector experience
