Oracle Cloud ERP Technical Lead

The Technical Workstream Lead will collaborate closely with the internal programme team and the appointed SI Partner to establish, lead, and deliver the technical workstream for the Oracle Fusion implementation. The role requires hands-on leadership, deep technical expertise in Oracle SaaS and PaaS, and the ability to influence stakeholders to adopt best practice and deliver a high-quality, secure, and scalable solution.

Key Responsibilities

Mobilisation Phase

  • Establish and lead the Technical Workstream in partnership with the client's internal technical lead.
  • Onboard and guide subject matter experts (SMEs) into the workstream, defining roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of the programme, including environment provisioning, security, integrations, testing, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with functional leads to assess Business Process Reviews and identify integration impacts or requirements.
  • Review and validate the Systems Implementation Partner's Statement of Work, delivery assumptions, and plans to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Initiate and manage key readiness activities to support successful programme mobilisation.
  • Review Oracle Fusion licensing arrangements related to environments and integrations, identifying any additional requirements.
  • Confirm and finalise the integration catalogue, working with the SI Partner and internal teams to define scope for formal design.

Design & Delivery Phase

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise across Oracle SaaS and PaaS environment management, security, and integration.
  • Work with the internal Technical Lead to co-manage the Technical Workstream and ensure deliverables are achieved to plan.
  • Challenge and assure the Systems Implementation Partner's integration strategy, designs, and approach, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed Technical Workstream plan aligned with the overall programme delivery plan.
  • Collaborate with the SI Partner to develop and maintain an environment management plan that supports the implementation roadmap.
  • Engage with SMEs and wider stakeholders to ensure appropriate input into technical and integration design decisions.
  • Provide specialist input to related areas such as Data Migration, Integration Design, and Reconciliation.
  • Ensure that all technical deliverables are completed, quality assured, and formally signed off at the end of the design phase.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven track record leading technical workstreams within Oracle Fusion implementation programmes (SaaS and PaaS).
  • Strong understanding of Oracle integration, environment management, and security models.
  • Experience collaborating with Systems Implementation Partners and managing vendor deliverables.
  • Ability to interpret and challenge Statements of Work, technical designs, and project plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive best-practice adoption.
  • Experience of large-scale ERP transformation programmes, ideally within the public or regulated sector.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
