Oracle Cutover Manager
Next Ventures is seeking an Oracle Cutover Manager for a contract role with our client in the UK.
Role Overview
Our client is delivering a major business and technology transformation programme involving multiple Oracle-based products including Oracle Primavera/Unifier, Oracle CX, Oracle Field Services, and Amazon Connect. We are seeking an experienced Cutover Manager to lead the planning and execution of cutover activities across these platforms, ensuring seamless transition from legacy systems to the new integrated landscape.
The programme will adopt a phased go-live approach across multiple releases, requiring meticulous coordination of technical, business, and vendor teams to minimize risk and maintain business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the cutover strategy, plan, and detailed schedule for phased releases across all impacted systems and business processes
- Coordinate cutover activities across multiple Oracle products and associated integrations (Primavera/Unifier, CX, Field Services, Amazon Connect)
- Engage with programme workstreams, business units, and third-party vendors to validate readiness and dependencies for each release
- Define and manage mock cutover rehearsals for multi-phase deployments, ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into subsequent releases
- Establish and track go/no-go criteria, risk mitigation plans, and contingency measures for each release
- Align cutover activities with data migration, testing, and deployment timelines across multiple waves
- Drive stakeholder communication and readiness, including business continuity planning and post-cutover support
- Provide governance reporting on cutover progress, risks, and issues to programme leadership
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Cutover Manager or similar role in large-scale ERP or technology transformation programmes with multi-phase go-live
- Expertise in cutover planning, execution, and risk management across complex, multi-system landscapes
- Understanding of Oracle product suite, particularly Primavera/Unifier, CX, and Field Services; experience with Amazon Connect is desirable
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and third-party vendors under tight timelines
- Familiarity with utilities and regulated environments is advantageous
