Oracle Procurement Process Lead
Procurement & Commissioning Transformation Lead (Oracle ERP Cloud) – Contract
Overview
We are seeking a Procurement & Commissioning Transformation Lead to play a critical role in a major Oracle ERP implementation. This is not a traditional functional consulting role — instead, we are looking for a process-driven transformation leader who can guide the business through a step-change in how procurement and commissioning functions operate.
You will bring deep expertise in what “good” looks like across procurement and commissioning, leveraging Oracle capabilities as an enabler rather than the focus. The role is about shaping processes, influencing stakeholders, and driving adoption of best practice, not system configuration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end transformation of procurement and commissioning processes as part of the Oracle ERP programme
- Define and articulate target operating models (TOM) aligned to industry best practice
- Challenge and evolve current-state processes, driving a shift from legacy ways of working to standardised, scalable models
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, taking them on the journey of what “good” looks like
- Bridge the gap between business, transformation teams, and Oracle functional consultants
- Ensure procurement and commissioning processes are designed to fully leverage Oracle ERP capabilities
- Drive process harmonisation and simplification, avoiding unnecessary customisation
- Lead workshops, design sessions, and stakeholder engagements at all levels
- Support change and adoption activities, ensuring new processes are embedded effectively
- Provide oversight and direction rather than hands-on system configuration
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience leading procurement transformation programmes within large-scale ERP implementations
- Strong understanding of Oracle Procurement (e.g., Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Management) — without being a hands-on functional configurator
- Proven track record as a transformation or process lead, not a functional consultant
- Deep expertise in procurement and commissioning processes, including best practice operating models
- Ability to define and implement “what good looks like” in complex organisations
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior/executive level
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience in industries with complex commissioning environments (e.g., infrastructure, utilities, public sector)
- Familiarity with end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) and commissioning lifecycle processes
- Exposure to change management and business transformation frameworks
Profile
- Strategic thinker with a strong process-first mindset
- Able to operate at both big-picture and detailed process levels
- Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving behavioural change
- Focused on outcomes, not systems
