3rd Line Support Engineer / Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is a well-established IT services provider delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing technology solutions. They are now seeking an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to take ownership of complex escalations, lead infrastructure improvements, and support the ongoing development of client environments.
The Role
You will act as the highest level of technical escalation while also leading technical projects and maintaining the stability, security, and performance of client infrastructure.
Final escalation point for complex and business-critical incidents
Advanced troubleshooting across Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory
Design and manage cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
Lead virtualisation platforms including Hyper-V and VMware
Own high-level networking, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and Wi-Fi
Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, security improvements, and cloud projects
Produce technical documentation and mentor 1st and 2nd Line engineers
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in a 3rd Line or Senior Infrastructure role
Strong Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and cloud infrastructure expertise
Advanced networking and virtualisation experience
Backup, resilience, and disaster recovery knowledge
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, improvement-focused mindset
Full UK driving licence required
