Salary: £up to 60k, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in Warrington. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting secure and scalable cloud solutions across our business.

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cloud-related projects, maintaining existing environments, and ensuring best practices in performance, security, and reliability. You will also provide technical leadership and mentoring to other engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS)
• Lead cloud migration and optimisation projects
• Monitor, maintain, and improve cloud performance, availability, and security
• Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
• Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge

Skills and Experience

• Strong background in cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and support
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar)
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of monitoring and automation tools
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role is desirable
