Role: Senior IT Technician Salary: Up to £40,000 Location: Tunbridge Wells Setup: Full Time | Permanent

About the Role

As a Senior IT Technician, you'll work closely with management to onboard new clients, handle the more complex support requests, and act as the link between the helpdesk and new client partnerships. You'll lead onboarding projects end to end, from the first site visit through to system migrations, making sure every client transition is smooth, properly documented and fully supported.

It's a visible, client-facing role that'll suit someone who likes taking ownership, enjoys getting stuck into technical problems, and brings a confident, consultative approach to the people side as well as the tech.

Key Responsibilities

* Leading the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients* Acting as an escalation point for complex 3rd line issues* Carrying out on-site client audits and technical assessments* Supporting the helpdesk with advanced troubleshooting and mentoring* Managing and monitoring client infrastructure across cloud and on-prem* Documenting systems, processes and technical insight for the wider team* Coordinating connectivity and VoIP setups with third-party providers* Contributing to process and policy improvements with a security-first mindset

Key Skills & Experience

* A valid UK driving licence, and happy to travel and stay overnight across the UK when needed* Extensive IT support experience, including onboarding and migrations* Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge (Intune, Purview, Security, Azure, Entra)* Working knowledge of GDPR, ITIL-aligned systems and security best practice* A collaborative approach to leadership and service delivery* Able to juggle multiple priorities and complex technical challenges* Excellent documentation, planning and client communication skills

Nice to Have (Not Essential)

* Certifications in Microsoft 365, CompTIA or ITIL v3/4* Experience with Dynamics CRM, RMM tools, scripting (PowerShell, BASH), and Teams PSTN or 3CX admin
