ServiceNow Engineer
Job Title: ServiceNow Engineer Location: Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site)Salary: £65,000
Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Engineer to join a financial services team, taking ownership of the operation, development, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The role includes managing the enterprise service catalogue (ESC), supporting third-party modules, and ensuring the platform delivers effectively for business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prioritise the backlog, planning work into regular sprints and delivering changes through structured release processes.
 - Test ServiceNow changes in non-production environments before deployment.
 - Work closely with stakeholders to define requirements and advise on optimal use of ServiceNow features.
 - Design solutions that meet requirements while adhering to platform best practices.
 - Identify opportunities to improve services and implement enhancements proactively.
 - Maintain the platform through routine housekeeping, bug fixes, configuration updates, and plugin management.
 - Execute ServiceNow platform upgrades.
 - Mentor and support other developers on the team.
 - Research and recommend new tools or features to improve platform capabilities.
 - Configure and onboard new modules, supporting knowledge transfer and training where needed.
 
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience working in IT and contributing to software project delivery.
 - Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
 - Previous experience in a similar role or environment.
 - Vocational qualifications or equivalent experience in Agile methodologies.
 - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
 - Proven experience in ServiceNow development and administration, including designing and implementing new capabilities.
 - Experience performing platform upgrades.
 - Familiarity with plugins and third-party modules (e.g., VRM/TPRM).
 - Understanding of CMDB configuration and use.
 - Experience in regulated environments, supporting controlled change.
 - Experience maintaining critical digital business applications.
 - Solid knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
