Technical Support Engineer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £28,000-£35,000 DOE

The Role

Our client is seeking a proactive, technically capable Technical Support Engineer to join their office-based support team. This role will involve delivering high-quality remote support using PSA and RMM tools, responding to inbound telephone queries, and supporting clients across a wide range of sectors including care and legal services.

Key Responsibilities

Provide efficient, high-quality remote technical support to end users

Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 tenants, including Exchange, SharePoint, Azure AD, and Endpoint Manager

Install and configure Windows 11 devices and mobile devices

Diagnose and resolve issues including mail flow, security, and client configuration

Accurately document faults, fixes, and technical procedures

Ensure cyber security best practices are consistently followed

Take full ownership of support tickets through to resolution

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel)

Experience installing and configuring Windows operating systems and software

Working knowledge of diagnostic tools such as Event Viewer and Command Prompt

Excellent communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach

Ability to take ownership of issues and manage workloads effectively

Desirable Skills

Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, subnetting, topologies)

Experience with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP)

Exposure to backup solutions, IP telephony, and managed Wi-Fi solutions
