The Opportunity

A well-established and growing MEP Building Services Consultancy in Sheffield is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead and develop its BIM capabilities across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM professional looking to take ownership of digital delivery standards, drive BIM best practice, and support the successful delivery of projects across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and development of BIM processes across the business.
  • Manage and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and project workflows.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary models across Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health disciplines.
  • Oversee project BIM delivery to ensure compliance with client and industry requirements.
  • Manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) and information exchange processes.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to engineers and BIM technicians.
  • Conduct model reviews, clash detection, and quality assurance checks.
  • Produce and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project information requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and design teams throughout project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new BIM technologies and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a BIM Manager, BIM Coordinator, or Senior BIM Technician role within an MEP or Building Services Consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards and ISO 19650.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary building services models.
  • Strong understanding of MEP design coordination processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and drive BIM strategy across multiple projects.
  • Experience with Navisworks and clash detection processes.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, scripting, or automation tools would be advantageous.
