Quantitative Research & AI Solutions Consultant

Quantitative Research & AI Solutions Consultant London | AI Studio | Full-time | Hybrid (3 days in-office)

What if your research didn't just inform a client's strategy — it also shaped the AI tools used to deliver it?

Our client, a respected, employee-owned advisory firm working with clients at the frontier of technology, is looking for a quantitative researcher to join a growing team at the intersection of research and AI. Research depth and AI/coding capability are equally core to this role — you won't be leaning on one to cover for the other.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how a respected advisory firm uses AI in practice, working across both classic research methods and some of the newest measurement techniques in the field.

What you'll do

  • Design and deliver primary quantitative research — including message testing and tracking studies — that shapes client strategy
  • Work on the computational, content-analysis side of the practice: media measurement, social and media listening, and analysing how clients show up in AI search — a fast-growing, distinctive part of the role
  • Commission and manage fieldwork and third-party suppliers
  • Use R or Python fluently, with the judgement to direct, read and sanity-check AI-generated ("vibe-coded") code — hand-coding everything from memory matters less than knowing what good output looks like
  • Contribute to building novel measurement methodologies as the team's remit grows
  • Turn research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior client stakeholders

Recent examples of the kind of work you'd be doing:

  • Helping a research organisation understand what drives its reputation in AI search
  • Helping a large tech company navigate a strategic governance decision
  • Mapping the media conversation around a tech client's highest-priority issue
  • Helping an investor understand its positioning in the market

What we're looking for

  • Strong quantitative research experience — comfortable with methods like message testing and tracking studies, and turning findings into strategic recommendations
  • Fluency in R or Python, and genuine comfort directing and sanity-checking AI-generated code rather than only hand-coding from scratch
  • Curiosity about computational and content-analysis research — media measurement, social listening, or similar — even without direct prior exposure to this exact type of work
  • A decent working understanding of communications and policy, so you can operate credibly with clients and colleagues
  • Corporate research agency experience is a plus but not essential — we're equally open to backgrounds in management consulting or in-house corporate insight teams

What's on offer

  • Employee ownership — everyone shares in the firm's success
  • A twice-yearly bonus based on company and individual performance
  • Private healthcare and dedicated mental health support
  • 26 days' holiday plus public holidays
  • Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate
  • Hybrid working, three days a week in the London office

We know profiles like this rarely tick every box on paper. If you're excited by the role and meet most of what's above, we'd love to hear from you — get in touch confidentially to find out more, including the client's identity and full compensation details.
