UK – Fully Remote

We are working with a UK-based prop-tech business building a production‐grade autonomous AI agent platform used by professionals in a high‐transaction environment.

They are looking for Senior AI Engineers to take a hands‐on role in the design and delivery of agentic AI systems, focused on workflow automation, intelligent decision support, and deep integration with an existing commercial platform.

This is a delivery‐focused contract role with genuine architectural responsibility.

Role Overview

You will design and implement autonomous and semi‐autonomous AI agents that operate across customer workflows, ingest transactional data, and generate actionable insights.

The work is firmly production‐oriented, this is not a research or experimentation role.

Key Responsibilities

Agentic AI & Automation

  • Design and implement AI agent architectures for autonomous task execution
  • Build self‐learning workflows driven by user interaction and transactional data
  • Implement multi‐agent patterns and AI‐augmented automation (including RPA where appropriate)
  • Ensure security, data isolation and compliance are embedded at platform level

AI‐Driven Insights

  • Develop systems for customer data analysis, trend detection and anomaly identification
  • Deliver practical use cases such as lead qualification, task prioritisation and operational automation

Platform Engineering

  • Build and maintain production‐ready AI services across front‐end and back‐end systems
  • Work with TypeScript/JavaScript, .NET and/or Python on AWS
  • Integrate AI services with internal platforms and third‐party APIs
  • Implement monitoring for agent behaviour, model performance and cost control

Required Experience

  • 10+ years commercial software engineering experience
  • Strong hands‐on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and .NET
  • Proven experience working with LLM platforms / frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, etc.)
  • AWS experience - Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation/CDK
  • Strong database experience, including MySQL and data pipelines
  • Direct experience building autonomous agents, intelligent workflows, multi‐agent systems or RPA
  • Strong understanding of API design, system integration and software architecture

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NLP or applied ML
  • Exposure to MLOps, model evaluation or A/B testing
  • Microservices and event‐driven architectures
  • Awareness of data privacy and AI security considerations
