Senior Technical Architect
Enterprise Architect (Hands-On) – C# / .NET Core | Azure | Distributed Systems | Global SaaS - Fully Remote
We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on Enterprise Architect to help shape and scale a global technology platform following continued international growth, including expansion into North America.
This is not a pure leadership role. We are seeking a deeply technical architect who enjoys solving complex system design challenges, working closely with engineering teams, and building scalable, event-driven, cloud-native platforms.
You will play a key role in modernising a large monolithic platform into a high-performance microservices and API-driven architecture running on Microsoft Azure - with minimal disruption to end users. The environment is highly collaborative, engineering-led, and increasingly leveraging AI/LLM technologies.
Location: Fully Remote (Core collaboration 1:00–5:30pm UK time)
The Role
-Own and evolve the enterprise architecture framework aligned to business growth
-Design scalable, secure, high-performance distributed systems
-Lead monolith → microservices modernisation
-Drive event-driven and clean architecture principles
-Work hands-on with engineering on architecture and system design
-Establish architectural standards, governance, and best practices
-Evaluate emerging technologies including AI/LLM
-Support continuous architectural improvement as the platform scales globally
Core Technical Requirements
-5–10+ years in enterprise architecture and large-scale distributed systems
-Strong event-driven architecture and event-sourced system design
-Strong hands-on background in C# / .NET Core
-Deep Microsoft Azure experience (AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, SQL Server, Redis)
-Strong microservices, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and API architecture experience
-Experience breaking down monolithic platforms into distributed systems
-Strong DevOps and CI/CD mindset (Azure DevOps)
-Strong communication skills and technical clarity
-Python (FastAPI/Django) beneficial but not essential
