Software Asset Manager

Location: St Paul's, London (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)

Salary: £65,000

We're looking for an experienced Software Asset Manager Associate to join our financial services client and help manage the full software lifecycle across a global organisation. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, optimising licensing, and reducing financial and reputational risk through robust governance and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce Software Governance and implement SAM best practices.
• Review and interpret EULAs and software contracts, working closely with Legal and Procurement.
• Manage and maintain software licence entitlements and ensure contract compliance.
• Produce Effective License Positions (ELPs) for Tier 1 vendors (Oracle or IBM advantageous).
• Support both BAU activities and project-based requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive compliance and cost optimisation.
• Contribute to CMDB development and maintain accurate asset records.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in Software Asset Management and licensing compliance.
• Ability to work with virtualised environments and complex infrastructures.
• Skilled in relationship management and confident in presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Familiarity with SAM tools (Certero, Flexera, Snow) is desirable.
