Application Support Engineer

Application Support Engineer - Microsoft Partner Hybrid (Berkshire) Up to £55,000

Nigel Frank International is working with a leading Microsoft Partner that's expanding its Application Support function. We're looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in supporting both internal systems and external enterprise clients across the Microsoft ecosystem.

This is a hybrid role based in Berkshire, offering a great balance of technical problem-solving, client engagement, and opportunities to develop within the Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 environment.

The Role

As an Application Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality technical and functional support to users and customers - ensuring that queries, incidents, and requests are logged, investigated, and resolved efficiently within agreed SLAs.

You'll act as a trusted advisor, working closely with consultants, developers, and the wider service team to deliver exceptional service, identify improvements, and help shape the evolution of the support function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve support tickets across a range of Microsoft business applications (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Azure, and related tools).
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support, performing root cause analysis and recommending solutions.
  • Conduct regular service review meetings with customers to review SLAs, KPIs, and identify trends or recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with consultants, developers, and the Service Management team to ensure successful resolution of complex issues.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers and help define and refine processes to improve efficiency.
  • Mentor and support junior analysts within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in Application Support, ideally in a 2nd or 3rd line role within a Microsoft Partner, consultancy, or MSP.
  • Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Dynamics 365.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Azure, SQL, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet SLA targets.

What's on Offer

  • Up to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Hybrid working (Berkshire-based office)
  • Exposure to a wide range of Microsoft technologies
  • Ongoing Microsoft training and certification support
  • Excellent career progression and professional development
  • Supportive, collaborative culture focused on quality and innovation
  • Private healthcare, enhanced pension, and wellbeing initiatives
