The Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Technical Consultant plays a key role in designing, configuring, and delivering CRM solutions that support business operations and long‐term digital transformation. This role combines technical expertise, solution architecture awareness, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure that Dynamics 365 CE is implemented, extended, and supported in a way that aligns with organisational goals.

You’ll work closely with business teams, developers, and project stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high‐performing solutions across the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Delivery

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs for Dynamics 365 CE.

• Configure and customise CE modules, including entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, and model‐driven apps.

• Develop and extend functionality using Power Platform tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.

• Support the design and implementation of integrations between CE and external systems using APIs, middleware, or custom connectors.

• Participate in end‐to‐end project delivery, from discovery and design through to build, testing, deployment, and post‐go‐live support.

Technical Expertise & Development

• Implement customisations using JavaScript, plugins, Power Automate flows, and other extensibility options.

• Support data migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, transformation, and import processes.

• Ensure solutions follow best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective resolutions.

Environment & Release Management

• Manage CE environments across development, test, and production.

• Support CI/CD pipelines for solution deployment and version control.

• Maintain structured documentation for configurations, customisations, and deployment processes.

Governance, Security & Quality

• Apply strong security and access‐control principles, including role‐based access and data protection.

• Ensure compliance with organisational governance, data standards, and regulatory frameworks.

• Conduct system testing, support UAT cycles, and ensure high‐quality releases.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.

• Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible way.

• Provide training, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong experience configuring and customising Dynamics 365 CE.

• Hands‐on experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).

• Solid understanding of CE architecture, data model, and extensibility options.

• Experience with JavaScript, plugins (C#), and solution development.

• Familiarity with integration patterns and API‐based connectivity.

• Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.

Desirable

• Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

• Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.

• Experience working within agile delivery environments.

• Exposure to broader Dynamics 365 modules or Power BI.
