D365 Technical Consultant

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect / Technical Consultant is responsible for designing, advising on, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform and related Microsoft technologies. This role combines architectural ownership with hands‐on technical consultancy, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with best practice.

You will translate business requirements into practical solution designs, provide technical leadership throughout delivery, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define appropriate solution approaches
• Design end‐to‐end solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and related technologies
• Produce solution architecture artefacts including diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications
• Define and advise on integration patterns between platforms, APIs, and external systems
• Provide technical consultancy and guidance throughout the project lifecycle
• Support development teams during build, testing, and deployment phases
• Break down high‐level designs into clear, deliverable implementation plans
• Identify technical risks and constraints, recommending mitigation strategies
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during and post‐implementation
• Work with third‐party vendors and partners to ensure solutions align with agreed architecture and standards
• Ensure solutions remain aligned to broader technical strategy and governance frameworks

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365
• Experience designing and delivering integrated solutions using APIs and services
• Working knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of security, performance, and scalability considerations
• Ability to balance technical best practice with commercial and delivery constraints
• Confidence explaining technical concepts to non‐technical audiences

Experience

• Proven experience (5+ years) in a Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar role
• Hands‐on experience designing and delivering Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365 solutions
• Strong background translating business needs into technical solution designs
• Experience working across multiple projects and stakeholders in a client‐facing environment
• Exposure to architecture principles, integration design, and security best practice
