Purpose of the Role

This position is responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into Dynamics 365 solution requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of system enhancements and new functionality. The role combines business analysis, solution configuration, and stakeholder engagement to ensure D365 is used effectively across the organisation.

Team Mission

The IT Operations function provides the technical foundations and digital services that enable the organisation to operate efficiently. This includes designing, maintaining, and improving systems, infrastructure, and applications that support day‐to‐day business activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business processes and requirements to shape Dynamics 365 solutions.

• Work with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and maintain a prioritised backlog.

• Present solution options and demonstrate platform capabilities to support decision‐making.

• Promote a configuration‐led approach to solution design, reducing reliance on custom code.

• Configure Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications in line with approved specifications.

• Support the creation and delivery of training materials and user onboarding sessions.

• Carry out functional testing and assist with user acceptance testing.

• Keep up to date with Microsoft product updates, new features, and third‐party add‐ons.

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and replace legacy customisations.

• Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to ensure smooth integration with related business systems.

• Facilitate workshops and knowledge‐sharing sessions with internal teams and stakeholders.

• Comply with all regulatory and industry standards relevant to the role.

• Participate in internal committees or working groups where required.

• Maintain awareness of responsibilities relating to organisational safety, compliance, and best practice.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in business, IT, finance, supply chain, or equivalent professional experience.

• Microsoft Associate‐level certification in at least one Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement module.

• At least three years’ experience working as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst within D365 CE.

• Strong understanding of D365 configuration, functional design, and requirements gathering.

• Good knowledge of customer‐facing operational processes.

• Experience producing functional documentation, conducting fit‐gap analysis, and mapping business processes.

• Confident working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder‐management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities.

• Familiarity with D365 Finance & Operations and the Power Platform is beneficial but not essential.

• Willingness to broaden expertise across additional Dynamics 365 modules.

• Contributes to overall departmental and organisational performance.

• No direct or indirect line management responsibilities.
