Head of Pre‐Sales – Microsoft Business Applications & Cloud
We’re working with a leading Microsoft Partner who are looking for a Head of Pre‐Sales to shape, lead, and grow their pre‐sales function across Dynamics 365, the Microsoft Power Platform, and Azure Cloud.
This is a strategic leadership role, ideal for someone who combines deep technical understanding with strong commercial instinct. You’ll help define how the business positions solutions, support the sales team in winning complex opportunities, and ensure customers clearly understand the value and feasibility of the services on offer.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing a high‐performing pre‐sales team across CRM, Power Platform, and Cloud.
- Owning the end‐to‐end pre‐sales strategy: discovery, solution design, demos, proposals, and customer workshops.
- Working closely with sales, delivery, and technical leads to shape compelling, scalable solutions for mid‐market and enterprise clients.
- Acting as the senior technical voice in key pursuits, ensuring solutions are deliverable, commercially aligned, and meet customer requirements.
- Presenting complex concepts in a clear, confident, and executive‐friendly way.
- Driving consistency in messaging, approach, and collateral across the business.
- Keeping ahead of Microsoft roadmap changes and advising internally on how best to position new capabilities.
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, and solid understanding of Azure.
- Experience leading or heavily contributing to pre‐sales activities in a Microsoft Partner environment.
- Ability to translate technical capability into real business value for C‐level stakeholders.
- Confident presenting, shaping solution architecture, and guiding customers through decision making.
- A collaborative mindset — someone who works well with sales, delivery, and engineering teams.
- Commercial awareness and experience contributing to bids, proposals, or complex sales cycles.
