A major organisation in Scotland is investing in the development of its internal digital capabilities and is looking for an experienced Power Platform Developer to join its growing team. This is a key role in delivering modern, efficient business applications that support users across a wide range of services.

About the Role

As a Power Platform Developer, you’ll be working on the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional digital team, mentor junior colleagues, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure that systems are built to meet real business needs.

This role blends hands-on technical delivery with opportunities to support the ongoing evolution of digital best practices and platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement business applications using Power Platform tools such as: Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents
  • Support platform governance, administration, and performance monitoring
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate solutions with Azure services and other systems
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the team
  • Contribute to agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and peer code reviews
  • Help shape low-code/no-code strategy and promote citizen development where appropriate
  • Work with DevOps pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps) to support CI/CD and solution lifecycle management

Ideal Experience

  • Solid hands-on experience building and deploying solutions on the Power Platform
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse and Dynamics 365
  • Ability to translate user needs into scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments with iterative development practices
  • Exposure to front-end development (JavaScript) or C# for plug-ins/custom connectors
  • Familiar with DevOps tooling, version control, and automated deployment
  • Confident in mentoring or supporting junior developers

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform technologies
  • Experience working with Azure services (e.g. Logic Apps, Function Apps)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Forms)
  • Experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards
