The Opportunity
Nigel Frank International are working with a well-established Managed Service Provider in Southwest London who are looking to recruit a Technical Operations Engineer to join their growing technical team.
This is a hands-on operational role for an experienced MSP engineer who enjoys working across Microsoft 365, infrastructure support, networking, security and customer environments.
You’ll be joining a collaborative technical team where you’ll take ownership of complex issues, support client environments, and play a key role in ensuring service quality and operational continuity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing 2nd/3rd line technical support across multiple client environments
- Supporting and administering Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, SharePoint, Conditional Access and permissions
- Diagnosing and resolving infrastructure, networking and endpoint issues
- Supporting deployment and maintenance of servers, PCs and infrastructure equipment
- Managing firewall and network configurations, including updates and troubleshooting
- Working with endpoint and mobile device management platforms (e.g. Intune)
- Acting as an escalation point for complex technical incidents
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and third-party vendors to coordinate resolution of issues
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation and infrastructure records
- Supporting automation and scripting initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Working closely with senior engineers to support infrastructure projects and improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a 2nd Line, 3rd Line, Infrastructure Support or MSP environment
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
- Good understanding of Entra ID, Conditional Access and SharePoint
- Experience supporting Windows Server and desktop environments
- Networking knowledge (VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls)
- Exposure to Intune or similar MDM platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills with customers and suppliers
- Ability to manage priorities and take ownership of issues
Nice to Have
- MSP / managed services experience
- FortiGate firewall experience
- PowerShell or scripting exposure
- Cloud infrastructure awareness
- Microsoft or networking certifications
