The Opportunity: A well-established and growing IT services provider is seeking a commercially driven and strategically minded Account Director to support its next phase of growth. This senior role is focused on managing high-value client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving adoption of managed services.The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping customer strategy, leading bids and tenders, and collaborating across sales, pre-sales, and marketing functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level professional with a consultative approach and a strong track record in the tech sector.Role Profile:• Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic client accounts through proactive relationship building, business development, and account management.• Lead client engagements by preparing tailored presentations and proposals, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for managed service adoption.• Collaborate with pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams to deliver client-focused solutions and support lead generation campaigns.• Build strong vendor relationships to support prospecting and closing new business.• Maintain accurate account plans, CRM records, and consistent sales activity to ensure pipeline progression.• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s core products and services.• Contribute to team goals through cross-functional collaboration and strategic input.Person Specification:• Proven experience in senior sales or account management within the tech sector, with a strong track record of attracting, retaining, and growing client relationships. • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, supported by effective use of CRM systems and structured sales processes. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with strong attention to detail. • Comfortable working cross-functionally with pre-sales and marketing teams to deliver client success. • Confident, personable, and professional with a positive, self-motivated, and resilient mindset. • Strategic and consultative approach to client engagement. • Willingness to travel and spend significant time with clients; driving license required.
