Application Support Analyst

  • Performing deep-dive investigation into business-impacting incidents (application- and infrastructure-related), up to and including analysing application configuration and code.  Identify repeating incidents and themes, work closely with development teams and quantitative analysts to determine root cause and track resolution. Manage communications between technical and business teams. Running daily incident review calls
  • Improve operational efficiency, reliability and resilience of systems. Manage business continuity processes.
  • Implement changes and releases, enforcing change management processes, and driving post-change reviews, working with development and testing teams.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Experience working within a global application support team in a fast-paced environment, ideally (but not essentially) within financial services
  • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with business stakeholders, end0users and technologists
  • ITIL (or similar) certification (or experience working within an ITIL framework)
  • Strong understanding of application design, rational databases (SQL Server), monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics), scheduling tools (Control-M), operating systems (Windows/Linux), Kubernetes, cloud platforms (Azure), issue tracking and source control (JIRA, Git, Bitbucket).
Interview Process:
  1. Coding Challenge – We would like to get a better sense of your programming potential. You will be sent some questions hosted by Codility to be completed at a time that suits you.
  2. Aptitude Test – The next step is to complete a speed-driven aptitude assessment.
  3. Management Interviews – You will meet with members of our Technology Management Team. These will be a combination of technical questions and an assessment of team and cultural fit.
  4. Team Technical Interview – As a final step you will meet 1-2 other team members for a technical interview.
