Business Development Manager - Technology Sector

The Opportunity: Nigel Wright Group are proud to be exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider based in Teesside, as they look to appoint a Business Development Manager to help drive their next phase of growth. Our client delivers a comprehensive service to their target customer base and with a strong reputation they are becoming the go-to partner for owner-led businesses navigating today’s complex cyber landscape. The BDM will be responsible for driving new business as well as nurturing, retaining and growing a portfolio of clients. Role Profile:•    Conduct a range of proactive business development outreach •    Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritise target customers•    Book and attend meetings with qualified leads•    Attend networking events to showcase the business and generate a prospect list•    Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle to closure•    Conduct quarterly or biannual client review meetings with existing accounts •    Prepare and present account reports in collaboration with the service desk•    Proactively identify and mitigate client risks•    Manage contract renewals and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities •    Participate in weekly account review meetings Person Specification:•    Minimum 5 years’ B2B business development experience•    Ideally from an IT MSP background, though related B2B experience will be considered•    Personable, driven, and collaborative with a customer-first mindset•    Excellent verbal communication and diary management skills•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Other Information:•    23 days holiday + bank holidays•    Electric company car or car allowance•    Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm or 9.00am – 5.00pm•    3 days in the office, 2 days remote
