The Opportunity CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO) Hybrid Working - Leeds  Salary / package c. £200-250k Position Summary An exciting opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join a highly successful, regulated and private equity backed business. Working as a true enterprise leader alongside a highly successful Executive Team, the CIO will play a key role in leading the organisation alongside the technology function. You would inherit a strong technology team with a headcount of >100 and a digital transformation roadmap that is already in process up to 2027. This role will lead the latter part of the transformation, whilst being forward thinking into the future technology roadmap for the organisation with a focus on areas such as data and AI.Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
  • Technology and business leader: providing specialist technology advice to the organisation to guide the definition, selection and implementation of policy as well as the design and implementation of the technology strategy, projects and change initiatives
  • Enterprise level leader: functioning as a core member of the Executive Team, contributing and executing the overall business strategy 
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration: identifying and working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels in pursuit of organisational goals
  • People leadership:  effective leadership of the technology team, ensuring it aligns with organisational culture and expected levels of performance 
  • Delivery and value creation: successful delivery of technology commitments, to time, quality and budget 
  • Capacity for complexity and high attention to detail: working in a regulated organisation with a complex system architecture, legacy customer terms and a high number of assets across multiple routes to market requires a high intellect and strong commercial and financial numeracy 
The Person Essential skills and attributes: 
  • Held a CIO/CTO executive position previously 
  • Evidence of IT strategy and vision definition and delivery in both short to medium term
  • Strong communication, planning, presentation and influencing skills  
  • Experience of budgetary management across multi-million £ budget lines for both capex and opex 
  • Strong customer service focus - ideally have worked in a B2B or B2B2C environment. 
  • Technical knowledge across IT - Infrastructure, M365, Systems, Data, Software 
  • Evidence of problem solving capabilities and value creation
