Data Engineer

The Company Nigel Wright are delighted to be partnering exclusively with growing financial services firm Radiant Financial, in their search for a Data Engineer. The business have hubs across the UK however this role will be based in the North East. The Role The organisation have been working closely with a consultancy who have been building a new data platform and they are looking for a Data Engineer to support the platform's next phase. This will focus on enhancing ingestion pipelines, data modelling and downstream integration into Power BI. Other key responsibilities will include: 

• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse 
• Model and store data using Delta Lake 
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows for data pipelines 
• Support data APIs from platforms like Intelligent Office, AJ Bell etc 
• Document architecture, data flows and best practises across platform boundaries 

The Requirements This is a unique role to help shape Radiant Financials drive to become more data driven. You will be expected to attend the North East office at least one day per week. Key requirements include: 

• 3+ years experience in data engineering roles, delivering integrated data-driven applications
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components (Pipelines, Lakehouse, Warehouses) 
• Proficient in T-SQL and either Apache Spark or Python for data engineering 
• Comfortable working across cloud platforms, with emphasis on Microsoft Azure 
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating external data sources into applications
