Data Lead

The Role
We are supporting a well-established organisation in the region with the appointment of a Data Lead to join a busy and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and analytical professional who enjoys working with data, reporting, systems administration, and stakeholder engagement.

The purpose of this role is to provide ownership of the analytical elements of the PMF, ensuring that high-quality, consistent and meaningful performance insight supports decision making, accountability, and delivery against missions and shared outcomes. The role leads the coordination and development of data across teams, bridging current reporting approaches with the design of sustainable, automated data warehouse solutions.

  • Provide oversight of central repositories of performance data definitions and ensure indicators are
    correctly defined, consistently applied, and updated in line with organisational requirements in close
    relationship with data engineer and data architect.
  • Work with directorates to lead improvements in performance data quality, ensuring that all indicators
    meet the standards set out in the PMF, including clear definitions, robust baselines, agreed targets, and
    appropriate data collection methodologies
  • Provide leadership for performance reporting for PMF undertaking hands-on analysis and quality
    assurance activity where appropriate to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with governance
    requirements.
  • Provide leadership for the development of performance reports, dashboards, visualisations, and
    scorecards, ensuring they align with PMF requirements and provide clear, meaningful insight.
  • Apply advanced analytical skills using tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or equivalent platforms to
    inform standards, assure quality and interpret performance insight.
