Digital Platform Manager

The Opportunity: Nigel Wright Group is supporting a well-established, UK-based financial services organisation operating within a regulated and complex environment. The business has a strong market presence and is undergoing a significant digital and marketing transformation, with clear investment and senior leadership backing.As part of this transformation, the organisation is looking to appoint a Digital Platform Manager (Website & Intranet). This is a newly created role, focused on bringing ownership of core digital platforms in-house and improving how the business engages both external audiences and internal stakeholders.The position will focus on developing, managing and optimising the organisation’s website and intranet, improving user experience, accessibility, and content governance. You will play a key role in supporting a major website redesign and replatforming project, while also establishing more efficient, scalable ways of working that reduce reliance on external agencies.This role will suit someone who combines strong hands-on platform capability, UX understanding, and stakeholder management, and is motivated by the opportunity to build and shape digital capability within a growing business.Role Profile:
  • Own and manage the organisation’s website and intranet platforms, with equal focus on internal and external user experience
  • Define and deliver a roadmap for ongoing platform, UX and content improvements
  • Build, update and optimise pages using CMS tools and reusable components, reducing reliance on external agencies
  • Improve user journeys across both external audiences (clients, prospects, advisers) and internal stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain content governance, standards, and lifecycle processes
  • Support website redesign and re-platforming, working closely with stakeholders and external partners
Person Specification:
  • Experience in a website, digital platform, or intranet management role
  • Strong knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Optimizely) and/or SharePoint Online
  • Hands-on understanding of HTML/CSS, with the ability to troubleshoot within CMS environments
  • Experience in UX, user journeys, and information architecture
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practice
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ideally within a regulated or complex environment
