Graduate Data Analyst

Job Description

The CompanyNW Tech is delighted to be partnering with a growing North East based financial services business in their search for a Graduate Data Analyst. NB - the position will be a hybrid working pattern requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. The RoleWith strong support from a Senior Data Engineer you will start with broad, hands-on exposure across the company's data and software systems - including testing and validating reports, data and application changes. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Support the development and maintenance of reporting and dashboards used across the business 
  • Write and maintain SQL (and with support DAX and Python) for reporting, validation and data extraction 
  • Run data quality checks and reconciliations across key datasets 
  • Support data ingestion and transformation tasks within Microsoft Fabric 
  • Document data definitions, logic and reporting methodology so outputs are consistent

The RequirementsThis is a brilliant and unique opportunity for a graduate to receive strong support and a defined progression plan from the get-go. There will be real responsibility early on and you will have exposure to a modern tech stack. Key requirements include: 

  • 2:1 or above in a computing, numerate or data discipline 
  • Basic to intermediate SQL 
  • Understanding of structured data and relational databases 
  • Good working knowledge of Excel 
  • Clear communicator with technical and non technical people 
  • Logical thinker, able to spot inconsistencies, anomalies and errors.
