About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth business embarking on a significant period of transformation and expansion.

Over the past two years, the business has invested heavily in strengthening its leadership team, modernising core systems and building the foundations required to support ambitious growth plans. With multiple acquisitions planned, major platform implementations underway and a growing technology function, they are now seeking a commercially-minded Head of Technology to play a key leadership role in the next phase of their journey.

The Role

As Head of Technology, you will lead an established technology team across software development, infrastructure and data, whilst acting as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.

This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic thinking. Initially, the focus will be on executing an existing transformation roadmap, ensuring key technology programmes are delivered successfully and embedding best practice across the function. Over time, the role will naturally evolve as the business continues to scale through acquisition and expansion.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Leading and developing a growing internal technology team.
• Delivering major technology and business systems initiatives.
• Driving data capability and ensuring information is leveraged effectively across the organisation.
• Supporting acquisition activity, integration projects and organisational change.
• Managing relationships with technology partners and third-party providers.
• Identifying opportunities to utilise emerging technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and enhance business performance.
• Acting as a visible and influential member of the leadership team, helping technology become a key driver of business growth

Experience / Attributes required

• Experience leading technology functions within a growing SME or mid-sized organisation.
• Previous responsibility for software development, infrastructure and business systems.
• A strong appreciation of data, analytics and information management.
• Exposure to acquisition, integration, transformation or multi-site environments.
• The ability to translate technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes.
• A collaborative leadership style and proven stakeholder management capability.
